Elsa Lee Tapped to Teach at UCLA Extension Program

Elsa Lee, founder, CEO and President of Advantage SCI, is known for her expertise in the Homeland Security and Counterintelligence world. Her knowledge base in her area of expertise, based on her first-hand experience for 20 years in the U.S. Army as a special agent, has been recognized by the University of California at Los Angeles and the Extension Certification Program and tapped to impart her expertise as part of a new certificate program.

Ms. Lee will head up the 6-course professional program, Homeland Security & Emergency Management Certificate, a comprehensive curriculum covering the core aspects of the theory and practice of homeland security and emergency management. Candidates must complete all courses within a 5-year period for a total of 22 units and will be awarded a certificate upon completion signed by the dean of UCLA Extension and bearing the gold seal of the University of California.

The course will also include an internship in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. The curriculum is intended for government agency employees, military personnel transitioning into civilian careers, private business managers in human resources, facilities management, project management, and communications. College students and recent college graduates may find the curriculum helpful as they seek satisfying careers in the fields of homeland security and emergency management.

Ms. Lee’s book, Homeland Security and Private Sector Business: Corporation’s Role in Critical Infrastructure Protection will serve as a textbook for the courses.
