Advantage SCI Publishes CI Newsletters
Advantage SCI has been publishing a newsletter to serve the counterintelligence community since January 2012. Initially the newsletter was edited by a former FBI counterintelligence agent who was an employee of Advantage SCI. Those newsletters, different in style and type of content from the current publication, or since June 2013, had content with full articles from many sources and some recent historical content. Originally entitled Counterintelligence and Cyber News and Views, the newsletter was published monthly. Main content generated from reprinting of full articles from many sources, with little to no original content.
Since June 2013 the publications contain less reprinted material and articles are written with a point of view unique to this publication. One section (Media News Bits) does refer to actual news reports on specific topics of real-life cases, which the newsletter readers can use as a starting point to then link to the full articles if there is interest. The uniqueness shows up in the other articles. For example, Fall 2014’s lead article is about bio-terrorism and how the food supply can be effected without the American public’s knowledge.
Some are historical in content that allow the reader to learn about counterintelligence of the past and how the United States has been involved since the Founding Fathers and the Revolutionary War and how the security of our country developed and is maintained. Others are researched and written for the CI Newsletter and are a learning tool for the readers to gain knowledge of counterintelligence, cyber security, insider threat, and other national security concerns.
The CI Newsletter is circulated to a mailing list of approximately 1,500 interested parties quarterly. Send an email to info@advantagesci.com if you would like to add your name to circulation email distribution list.
